Strengthening global collaboration with TIKA representative Turkish Government
Mr Ammar welcomed at P2B and Vice Rector 3 Room
On April 9th, 2025, UIN Sunan Kalijaga welcomed Mr. Moh. Ammar Faqihuddin, representative of the International Implementing Agency of the Turkish Development Cooperation (TİKA). This meeting was preceded by an online meeting zoom two months ago, between TIKA and UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Then at wednesday (9/4/25),Mr. Ammar provided insight into the development of education in Turkey. He emphasized the Turkish government’s commitment to advancing education and culture, as well as learning the Turkish language internationally. This statement was well appreciated by the Rector and his staff represented by Vice Rector III Dr. Abdul Rozaki. This meeting then continued to the onboard visit. On this visit, CDCIA UIN Sunan Kalijaga welcomed Pak Ammar by visiting the UIN Sunan Kalijaga library and the Language Development Center (P2B).
The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration through the development of the Turkish Center at the university library which will be used as a Turkish center stand and the opening of Turkish language training in P2B as a forerunner to the implementation of Turkish language training. the advancement of research and community service initiatives related to Turkey. Dr. Abdul Rozaki said that the epistemic communities of Turkey and Indonesia have similarities, especially in the field of Islam, and this collaboration is very strategic because this collaboration is carried out at UIN Sunan Kalijaga which is a melting pot of Indonesian diversity. Those because Yogyakarta is a student city formed from all elements of students from various islands in Indonesia. The grand opening of the Turkish Center and Turkish language training is planned for June this year, so stay tuned for more information. [AM]
