Yogyakarta, May 19, 2025 — UIN Sunan Kalijaga, through its International Office, successfully hosted the second installment of its #InovTalks series on Monday, May 19, 2025. Titled “Scholarship Hunting in 3 Continents,” the event was held at the Language Center Building and drew a strong turnout from students eager to explore global academic opportunities.
The event featured three distinguished speakers with rich academic experiences across different continents:
-
Subhani Kusuma, M.A., Ph.D. (Australia)
-
Asih Melati, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. (France)
-
Bernando Sujibto (Turkey)
Moderated by Durrotul Masudah, the interactive forum provided insights into navigating scholarship opportunities, adapting to new cultures, and succeeding in international academic environments. Each speaker shared personal stories and strategies, offering students practical guidance for pursuing studies abroad.
The forum was officially opened by Dr. Abdur Rozaki, S.Ag., M.Si, who underscored the importance of global competence and encouraged students to embrace international experiences while remaining rooted in their values and identity.
“#InovTalks is more than a forum—it’s a movement to raise global awareness, build confidence, and push the boundaries of what our students believe is possible,” said the Head of the International Office in his remarks.
With participants ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate levels, the event highlighted a growing interest in international education. Discussions went beyond scholarships, focusing also on cultural adaptation, academic preparedness, and personal growth.
