Profil UIN Sunan Kalijaga

Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University (UIN-SUKA) is the oldest institute of higher education in Indonesia. In 2004, IAIN Sunan Kalijaga was officially transformed into a university with the name State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga (UIN-SUKA). Becoming a university, UIN-SUKA bears a wider mandate to develop a number of new faculties, including the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, as well as the Faculty of Islamic Economy and Business.

UIN-SUKA has earned a reputation for developing the paradigm of "Integration-Interconnection" by integrating both religious and general fields of studies. Maintaining high academic standards, UIN-SUKA becomes a member of AUN-QA Network as its quality assurance and is the reference in Islamic Studies. Developing its national and International reputation, the University set its goal of becoming a research-oriented "Word Class University in Islamic Studies".
