Passport
  • Definition: A passport is a travel document issued by a country’s government to its citizens that verifies the identity and nationality of the holder for the purpose of international travel.
  • How to get: You can apply for a Passport at your country's immigration office
  • Definition: an endorsement on a passport indicating that the holder is allowed to enter, leave, or stay for a specified period of time in a country. 
  • How to get: Only the Guarantor(or the University) is allowed to apply for study VISA on behalf of its International Student

  • Definition: A Temporary Stay Permit is an essential immigration document that states the duration of your stay permission in Indonesia.
  • How to get: Student may apply for a KITAS extension with an application letter from the University
  • Where to apply: Immigration Office
  • Important Note: This document is crucial to have, do not let this document expired during your stay in Indonesia. The sanction for letting this document expired is severe!

Study Permit (Izin Belajar)
  • Definition: A Study permit is a document that stated you are a student who is currently studying in Indonesia. 
  • How to get: Only the Guarantor(or the University) is allowed to apply for study VISA on behalf of its International Student

  • Definition: A letter of residence is a document that states the exact location where you live in Indonesia.

Surat Tanda Melapor (STM)
  • Definition: STM is a proof letter given by the police for registering the requester information.

Letter of Domicile
  • Definition: Letter of Domicile is a letter in which affirms your address in Indonesia
  • How to get: Students may request to get the Letter of Domicile by contacting the nearest head of the village. Students could also request assistance to get the Letter of Domicile to the International office.
